Shipping & Delivery

Shipping Information for Domestic Customers
Most orders received on week days are processed the same day (except holidays). Custom items and other special orders may take 3 to 4 weeks.

Incomplete orders. We make every effort to ship orders complete, but sometimes orders may have to be split into multiple shipments. The reasons for this vary: some products are not in stock and need to be shipped directly from a manufacturer, etc.

Shipping and Handling Charges
Shipping and handling charges are not included in our online catalog prices. Due to our large shipping volume, we have negotiated very competitive transportation pricing and pass on significant savings to our customers.

We will use all reasonable efforts to comply with your requests as to method of shipment, but reserve the right to use a carrier of our choice. A large order may have products shipped from different cities. When shipping or handling costs prohibit us from stocking an item, it will be shipped direct from the factory. This lets us sell for less because we don’t have the expense of bringing heavy or bulky items into our distribution centers, storing them, then re-shipping them to you.

Postage or shipping and handling charges will be added to your invoice
Package size affects choice of carrier. Small packages ship via small package carrier or Parcel Post where required. If a package can’t be shipped via either of these methods, then a truck carrier is used. Since small package carriers and Parcel Post limit the size of packages they accept, heavy and/or bulky packages ship via truck.

Small package carriers such as UPS and USPS calculate charges based on the actual weight and the dimensional weight of the shipment.

Truck Carrier Freight Charges
Freight charges are based on origin and destination zip codes, plus freight classification and weight of the shipment. Carriers assess a minimum charge to move freight between two points, regardless of freight or weight classification. We can, at your request, calculate freight charges on your order and provide you with a quote, typically at a discounted rate. If you accept our quote, your order will be shipped prepaid, which means Kelley & Abide/504chef.com pays the carrier directly, then adds the quoted freight charge to your invoice.

Receiving Your Shipment
The following steps must be taken when a shipment arrives:

1.) All shipments must be inspected upon delivery. Do not write “Subject to Inspection” on the delivery receipt. The merchandise must be inspected immediately in the presence of the driver.,

2.) Verify the piece count. Make sure you sign for the correct number of items.,

3.) Examine each carton for damage and note the condition of the carton on the delivery receipt. For example, look for crease marks, holes, or crushed spots on each carton.,

4.) If you find any discrepancies or damage, note them on all copies of the delivery receipt, then call our Customer Care Department immediately (800) 826-5468.

Concealed damage. If you should find concealed damage, do not return the merchandise. Keep it and all of the packaging material along with the cartons so they can be inspected and the liability determined.

NOTE: It is very important that you examine each carton in the presence of the driver at the time of delivery. A signed delivery receipt, clearly noting the damage or loss of product, is your legal documentation that the carrier either damaged or lost your product. A delivery receipt without any notations of loss or damage is the carrier’s proof that the shipment was delivered to you and that it was delivered in good condition.

Returns & Replacements

504CHEF.com will accept any product that has not been worn, damaged, altered or laundered within 60 days. Only goods that have fabric or manufacturing defects may be returned at no charge, but require prior authorization from Customer Service. Crocking and bleeding are inherent characteristics of red-tone shades; wash separately. Garments described herein offer no protection from molten metal, sparks, or caustic chemicals. Garments described herein are not anti-static. Under no circumstances will embroidered items or those altered to non-stocked specifications be accepted for credit. Items ordered in wrong size or color due to customer’s error are subject to restocking fee and all return freight will be paid by customer.

To return a product, a Return Authorization Number must be obtained by contacting Customer Service at internetsales@kelleyabide.com or call us at (800) 826-5468 Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm CST. This number must accompany the returned item(s) along with a copy of your invoice. Customers are responsible for return shipping charges which are nonrefundable.

Only you may be aware of any problems that may occur during the purchase process. 504CHEF.com will not be responsible for monetary losses or otherwise if you assume that an order was not placed because you failed to receive confirmation.

504CHEF.com carries large inventories, however occasionally a shortage occurs. It is our policy to fill back orders as soon as the merchandise is available.

Volume Discounts

Customers automatically receive a 5% discount on all orders over $250.00. The volume discount will be applied to your order at checkout.

We reserve the right to modify prices, promotions, specifications, colors, and fabrics at any time. Viewing Orders

After signing in, you will see Recent Orders listed in My Account Dashboard. You will have the option to View or Reorder any recently placed orders. Updating Account Information

Customers may update account information via the Account Dashboard. To Sign-In, click the link, My Account, at the top of our web site. You will be redirected to the Customer Sign-In page. After signing in, you will see all your account information listed in My Account Dashboard.
